Andipuerto Guayaquil S. A. won the tender issued by Port Authorities of Guayaquil in 1999 for the concession of the Dry Bulk & Multipurpose Terminal for 25 years with exclusive rights for handling bulk / grain cargo. The terminal can also operate general cargo, Steel and containers.
Located inside the main Port of Guayaquil called “Puerto Nuevo” it covers an area on the extreme East side of the Port with easy access to the city and connected to the main roads of the country.
All vessels destined to Andipuerto Guayaquil S. A. use the same channel access as “Puerto Nuevo”. The pilot station is located northwest from the “Puná Island”, being a quiet, wind calm and natural channel with an official draft of 32 feet brackish water.
Andipuerto Guayaquil S.A. is the biggest dry-bulk terminal in Ecuador with 360,000 MT of storage capacity. It offers productivity levels above the standard in comparison to other dry-bulk terminals in Ecuador. On average vessels would stay in almost half the time against similar vessel in other terminal.
